How much CBD should I give my horse?
The appropriate CBD dosage for horses will vary depending on the body weight and type of condition you are using.
Used as a dietary supplement, CBD oil for animals with a low content of 4% CBD is sufficient. When CBD is taken for your pet’s illness, you need to increase the number of drops given.
As a rule, one dose per day is sufficient. For more serious illnesses, it is possible to administer 2 to 3 doses per day. Simply mix CBD pet oil with their food.
Example of dosage
On the first day, Give your horse a drop of CBD oil. increase the number of drops to two on day two. On day three, increase to three drops. And so on, until the optimum amount and the desired effect is achieved.
For most horses, the ideal dose starts with 40mg. We recommend that you do not exceed a dosage of 40 mg at the start. After a week, you can increase the dose by 20mg. We recommend having a maximum dose of 120mg on a daily basis. As with humans, it is about finding the most effective dose yourself. But keep in mind that a larger amount doesn’t necessarily work faster or better. CBD is known to work even at low doses. CBD oil for pets should be used regularly for at least 3 weeks, so that, the digestive system gets used to it. After 3 months, it is recommended to take a break for a few days.
